Book “Bergers, gardiens de l’Alpe” (Shepherds, Guardians of the Alp)
He is the one who guides and protects his flock, an allegorical character etched on popular imagination. It is in the mountains that all the charisma of a shepherd can be expressed. With a muffled tread, photographer Bertrand Bodin and journalist Philippe Bardiau have walked upon and across inhabited mountainous areas and have tried to establish at last mere simplicity. They shared simple but intense moments with some of these characters and their circle.
Through this sketch of about fifteen portraits of men and women of character, we are led to discover a world that is both timid and generous, a showcase of humility and of liberty.
